Pulmonaria ‘Trevi Fountain’ is considered to be one of the longest flowering blue Lungwort cultivars. It is also particularly striking, bearing clusters of deep cobalt blue flowers from March to May, providing a valuable source of nectar for pollinating insects. A dependable hardy perennial, ‘Trevi Fountain’ forms an attractive carpet of silver, spotted foliage. It is an ideal choice for ground cover, particularly in shaded areas, and is a lovely addition to herbaceous borders and woodland areas. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 50cm (19″).
Culinary information: The leaves can be eaten raw or cooked and added to salads, or used as a potherb. The plant is an ingredient of the drink Vermouth. For more details about edible flowers click here.
