Take a closer look at dainty little Geum ‘Banana Daiquiri’ to appreciate its charming flowers. Each of its lemon yellow petals is veined with fine lines, and at the centre is a merry swirl of deeper yellow anthers. Its leaves grow in neat clumps and are semi-evergreen. In a vase on the kitchen table or growing at the front of a sunny border in a cottage garden, this Avens is a delightful late spring bloomer. Height: 45cm (18″).Spread: 35cm (14″).

Grow Geums in a sunny or shaded position on any well drained soil.
Water regularly until fully established. Dead-head faded geum flowers regularly to encourage more blooms to be produced. Remove old foliage in autumn. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant in spring. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Geum to maintain their vigour.
